Cut flowers can brighten up any space and add a touch of elegance to your surroundings. To ensure your beautiful blooms last longer, proper care and attention are key. Here's a simple guide on how to care for your flowers and make them last as long as possible.
Remember to remove all packaging from your bouquets (once you're done taking pictures ofc) and place them in a vase/container. After that, follow these simple steps:
- Trim the Stems: Cut about a half an inch off the stems at a diagonal angle before placing them in a vase. This allows for better water absorption.
- Use Clean Vases: Ensure your vase is clean and free of any bacteria, as this can shorten the life of your flowers.
- Fresh Water: Change the water in the vase everyday to keep it clean and free from bacteria.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight and Heat: Keep your vase away from direct sunlight and heating sources, as this can cause the flowers to wilt faster.
- Control the Room Temperature: Optimal room temperature for most cut flowers is around 18-22°C. But keep them in the coolest room possible in your house and not directly under the fan.
- Remove Wilted Petals/Leaves: Regularly remove any wilted or dead outer petals and leaves that are under the water to maintain the freshness of the bouquet.

For boxes, you can simply pour half a glass of water slowly from the top everyday as they have floral foam inside. Remember, flowers don't last as long in these foam arrangements.
